About the Role

The Cashier will handle customer transactions, process payments, and maintain an organized checkout area. You’ll play a key part in ensuring customer satisfaction through professional, efficient service. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating a positive shopping experience for SSK clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and record transactions accurately.
  • Handle cash, card, and other forms of payment securely.
  • Perform basic administrative and till balancing duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at the checkout area.
  • Provide friendly, professional service to customers.
  • Assist with general store operations when required.
  • Support a cooperative and team-focused work environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
  • Bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
  • Good numerical and computer literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Previous retail or cashier experience preferred.
  • Customer-focused attitude and ability to work under pressure.
