The MacMillan Foundation NPC, established by SNAPP Architects, is offering bursaries for black South African women under the age of 35 who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in Architecture. The bursary is aimed at academically strong students who lack the financial means to continue their studies.
Who Can Apply
To qualify, applicants must meet the following:
- South African citizen
- Black female (as per B-BBEE Codes)
- Under the age of 35 upon completing the qualification
- Studying or intending to study Postgraduate Architecture
- Enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited South African university
- Strong academic record
- No criminal record
- Proof of university account status (paid/unpaid)
What the Bursary Covers
- Tuition fees only
- Paid directly to the university
- Proof of registration and institutional tax invoice required
- Funding valid for one academic year only
Required Documents
Include clear, certified copies of the following:
- South African ID
- Latest academic transcript/results
- Recommendation letter from a lecturer
- Declaration of outstanding university fees
- Affidavit confirming financial independence (if applicable)
- CV or academic portfolio (optional but encouraged)
