Siza Water is inviting students to apply for the 2026 bursary programme. The bursary is aimed at youth from communities within the Siza Water concession area in the Dolphin Coast region of KwaZulu-Natal (between Etete and Zimbali).
The programme is designed to support students with academic potential who are in financial need and wish to advance their studies in technical, engineering and water-related fields.
Bursaries are available for studies in the following fields:

What the Bursary Covers
This bursary provides funding for:
- Tuition fees
- Prescribed textbooks
Funding is renewable for up to 3 years, subject to academic performance. Students must reapply each year and submit their latest academic results.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be 21 years old or younger
- Live in the Siza Water concession area (Dolphin Coast, KZN)
- Be in Matric or have completed Matric
- Plan to study full-time in 2026
- Be accepted or registered at a recognised South African institution
- Have at least 65% overall average in 2025 academic results
- Have at least 65% for subjects relevant to the chosen field
- Have a total household income below R15 000 per month
- Show financial need
- Preference will be given to Black students (African, Coloured, Indian) and female applicants
Required Documents
Applicants must submit:
- Certified copy of ID
- Certified Grade 11 final results and Matric latest results or certificate
- Certified most recent academic results (if already studying)
- Certified proof of acceptance for 2026
- Certified proof of household income (payslips, affidavit, grant proof)
- Statement of family income and expenses
- Certified death/divorce certificates if applicable
- Medical proof of disability, if applicable
- Proof of residence (Ward Councillor letter: original signed)
