What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be working closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to support product testing, reporting, and quality compliance processes. Your role will be critical in ensuring that all Coca-Cola products meet internal and external quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting laboratory tests and inspections
- Reporting and escalating any quality issues or out-of-specification findings
- Compiling quality control records for auditing purposes
- Assisting with compliance to food safety standards in manufacturing
- Learning how to apply microbiology, chemistry, and physics in a real-world setting
What You Need to Qualify
To be considered for this in-service trainee role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 with at least 40% in Mathematics and Physical Science
(Mathematics Literacy does not qualify) - Passed two South African languages with at least 40%
- Studying towards a Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or related qualification
- Completed theoretical modules and now require practical experience
- Letter from your tertiary institution confirming your need for workplace experience
- South African citizen aged between 18 and 35
- Unemployed at the time of application
- Must be an Employment Equity candidate
- Must not have completed an in-service training programme before

- Diploma in Food Technology – Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)
- National Diploma in Biotechnology – Durban University of Technology (DUT)
- Certificate in Quality Assurance in Food Industry – SAQA via AgriSETA
These courses provide both the theoretical background and practical training required for quality assurance roles in the food and beverage sector.
