TFG (The Foschini Group) is offering a YES Internship for aspiring Visual Merchandisers in the Western Cape. This is a hands-on role designed to equip young individuals with skills and real experience in the dynamic retail industry.
As part of TFG’s commitment to youth development and transformation, this internship will allow you to explore your creativity while gaining exposure to a professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Help plan and execute in-store and window displays
- Work with the visual merchandising team to create attractive visual layouts
- Maintain product displays to ensure they’re tidy, well-organized, and on-brand
- Conduct market research and keep track of design trends
- Assist in setting up promotional and seasonal display rollouts
- Support the creation of store signage, graphics, and display material
- Help enforce consistent visual standards across multiple stores
- Assist in merchandising projects and photo shoots when required
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant qualification in retail, design, or visual merchandising
- Basic understanding of visual merchandising principles and retail layouts
Skills:
- Creative flair and excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication abilities (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working as part of a team and independently
- Physically able to move display materials and props
