About the Siemens Bursary Scheme
Siemens seeks graduates who are game changers, trendsetters, and innovators in the fields of engineering and technology. The bursary provides funding for higher education in critical and scarce skills qualifications, enabling students to pursue their academic goals.
Fields of Study Supported
The bursary covers the following qualifications:
- BSc/B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering (Heavy and Light Current)
- BSc/B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering: Technology
- B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Mechatronics)
Eligibility Criteria
For Grade 12 Applicants:
- Must have completed Matric/Grade 12.
- Minimum requirements:
- English: Level 5 and above.
- Pure Mathematics: Level 5 and above.
- Physical Science: Level 5 and above.
- Must be an unemployed South African citizen aged between 18 – 25 years.
For University Applicants:
- Must have a minimum academic average of 65% or above in the year of application (Grade 12 or tertiary level).
- Must be studying or accepted to study full-time in one of the specified fields.
- The institution must be a locally recognized training institution.
- Proof of acceptance by the training institution is required before a bursary can be awarded.
- The student should not be receiving any other funding (e.g., other bursaries or NSFAS).
