The Gauteng Department of Health is now accepting applications for the 2025 Student Nurse Intake at the Gauteng College of Nursing (GCON). This opportunity allows prospective students to study for a Diploma in Nursing at one of the following campuses: Ann Latsky, Bonalesedi, Chris Hani Baragwanath, or SG Lourens.

Requirements:
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be South African citizens residing in Gauteng.
- Hold one of the following qualifications:
- Senior Certificate (Standard 10)
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4
- Special preference will be given to applicants from Quintile 1, 2, or 3 schools located in townships, informal settlements, and hostels.
- Nursing professionals, such as Nursing Auxiliaries or Enrolled Nurses, are also encouraged to apply.
- Shortlisted applicants will undergo psychometric assessments and medical surveillance, including a physical examination.
