About the Role
As a Junior to Leading Fire Fighter, you will be responsible for:
- Responding to emergency incidents such as fires, chemical spills, and hazardous material situations.
- Maintaining emergency equipment and ensuring all tools are ready for deployment.
- Conducting risk assessments and fire safety inspections.
- Participating in training sessions to enhance firefighting and emergency response skills.
- Ensuring compliance with Sasol’s Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this training program, you need:
- Grade 12 (Mathematical Literacy or equivalent)
- Medically fit as per Fire Fighter fitness level requirements
- Fire Fighter 1 & 2 (NFPA 1001) Certification (Must Have)
- Hazmat Awareness & Operations (NFPA 1072/472) (Must Have)
- HPCSA Registered and Current BAA (BLS) Certification (Preferred)
- HPCSA Registered and Current ILS Certification (Preferred)
- Valid Code C1 Driver’s License (Strongly Preferred)
- 0-5 years of experience in emergency response or firefighting
