Job Advert Summary

Reporting to the Groundsman Supervisor, the successful candidate will ensure that plant and property are kept presentable, safe, and reliable as required by Rand Water. Responsibilities include general day-to-day maintenance, removal of refuse, road maintenance, and fencing.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • Basic plant knowledge
  • Safety training (advantageous)

Primary Duties

  • Maintain Station and Property: Sweep, collect building rubble with shovels, forks, and rakes, and manage domestic rubbish bins.
  • Roads and Fencing Maintenance: Perform excavations, dig trenches for pipe repairs, and maintain roads and fencing.
  • Loading and Off-Loading: Assist with physically loading and off-loading building material onto/from trucks.
  • General Housekeeping: Fix potholes on-site and perform various housekeeping duties.
