About the Role
As a Casual Merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that shelves are always fully stocked, neatly presented, and accurately priced. You’ll play a key role in maintaining product availability, assisting customers, and supporting the store team to drive sales while upholding Dis-Chem’s visual and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Refill shelves and maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO).
- Ensure all products are correctly priced and labelled.
- Remove expired, damaged, or outdated stock.
- Assist with stock counts, ordering, and general store upkeep.
- Build and maintain merchandising displays according to planograms.
- Report low or out-of-stock items to management.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Up to 6 months’ retail or merchandising experience (1 year advantageous).
- Computer literate (MS Office).
- Fluent in English and well-presented.
- Physically fit and able to handle stock.
- Willing to work flexible retail hours.
- Reliable transport or residence near Eastgate.
