Key Responsibilities

Model Development & Analytics

Build, maintain, and optimize machine learning and statistical models.
Translate business problems into analytical solutions using advanced techniques such as predictive modeling, text analytics, and deep learning.
Ensure models are updated, audited, and optimized for accuracy.

Data Management & Governance

Apply data wrangling techniques to improve data quality.
Ensure ethical data use in line with privacy laws and organizational policies.
Report and resolve data privacy incidents.

Business Collaboration & Strategy

Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, understand data requirements, and provide insights.
Identify opportunities for strategic improvements and data commercialization.
Act as an analytics subject matter expert across departments.

Technical Execution

Use tools such as Python, SAS, and statistical software for model development.
Create clear data visualizations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Apply mathematical concepts (linear algebra, calculus) to enhance models.

Ensure adherence to governance standards, policies, and regulations.
Mentor junior analysts and foster a learning culture within the team.
Share best practices in analytics and contribute to communities of practice.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Degree in Mathematics or Bachelor of Science Degree (relevant field).
Experience: At least 5 years’ proven experience in a Data Scientist role.
Proficiency in advanced analytics tools (Python, SAS, or similar).
Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
Experience working in financial services is advantageous.
