Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 / NQF 3 with 1 year of work experience, or Grade 12 with no experience.
- Ability to communicate in English and the dominant local language.
- Valid South African ID or work permit.
- Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Duties
Customer Service
- Assist and advise customers on the correct products.
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently.
Merchandising
- Merchandise bulk stock safely and according to the store layout plan.
- Ensure your area of responsibility is fully stocked and correctly labelled.
Housekeeping
- Keep your area clear of obstacles to ensure customer safety.
- Merchandise stock immediately upon receipt.
- Maintain correct shelf price labels.
- Complete required checklists for canteen, toilets, and showers when on duty.
Safety & OHSA Compliance
- Wear and use safety gear as required.
- Ensure stock is stored and merchandised safely to protect staff and customers.
- Report safety risks or discrepancies to the Store Manager.
Stock Loss Control
- Report all damaged stock within your area to the Store Manager.
