Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum of 6 months’ cleaning experience
- Good command of English
- Willing and able to work retail hours
Advantageous:
- Bilingual (area-specific language an asset)
- Previous retail store cleaning experience
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness across all store areas daily.
- Clean floors, shelves, restrooms, canteen, and back-of-house areas.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are fully stocked at all times.
- Use correct cleaning materials and equipment for each surface or task.
- Place “wet floor” signage during cleaning to ensure customer safety.
- Respond promptly to in-store cleaning needs during trading hours.
- Follow all Health and Safety regulations and internal procedures.
- Deliver friendly, professional assistance to customers when needed.
