About the Programme

This in-service training role is designed for Industrial Engineering students who want to gain practical exposure in a real factory environment. You’ll join the Site Industrial Engineer and team, working on projects that improve productivity, process flow, and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyse and improve manufacturing process methods
  • Run labour analysis projects
  • Support capital expenditure initiatives
  • Participate in quality control projects
  • Create reports and present findings to management
  • Work in a fast-paced, hands-on factory setting

Minimum Requirements

  • Studying towards or completed:
    • BSc, BEng, or BTech in Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 70% average in final year
  • Valid South African citizenship or work rights

Bonus Skills and Qualities

  • Previous part-time/vacation work in manufacturing (advantageous)
  • Strong communicator across all levels of an organisation
  • Willing to work shifts, overtime, and travel between factories
  • Confident presenting reports and identifying improvements
  • Comfortable working mostly on the factory floor (not an office-based role)
  • Curious, open-minded, and practical in problem-solving
