About the Programme
This programme offers structured institutional and on-the-job training, allowing graduates to gain the necessary technical skills and operational knowledge required for laboratory and chemical process work in power generation.
Learners will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers to develop practical competencies relevant to chemical analysis, water treatment, and plant quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in structured technical training under Eskom’s supervision.
- Assist in laboratory testing, analysis, and quality assurance procedures.
- Support technicians and engineers in performing chemical sampling and water analysis.
- Maintain accurate laboratory data and safety records.
- Operate and maintain analytical equipment under supervision.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to real operational processes in the maintenance environment.
Minimum Requirements
- South African Citizen (compulsory)
- Fully completed S4 or S5 in Analytical Chemistry or Water Care (from a recognised tertiary institution).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a technical and laboratory environment.
- Willingness to learn and participate in a structured development programme.
