About the Learnership

The Cosmetics Learnership will help you develop practical retail skills, product knowledge, and customer service experience. You’ll be trained to promote and sell beauty and cosmetics products while assisting with merchandising, stock control, and in-store promotions.

Responsibilities

Stock Control:

Check expiry dates and report damaged stock
Restock shelves and manage storage area
Assist with unpacking deliveries and rotating stock
Follow all Dis-Chem stock procedures

Merchandising:

Set up displays and ensure shelves are full
Price and label products correctly
Assist with makeovers or product demonstrations
Meet vendor sales targets

Customer Service:

Help customers find products and give advice
Handle sales at the POS counter
Be friendly, helpful, and professional
Resolve product and stock queries

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 certificate
South African citizen
Clear criminal and credit record
Willing to work retail hours, weekends, and public holidays
Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)
