MINTEK invites qualified South African graduates to apply for their internship programme within the Biometallurgy Division. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain piloting skills and hands-on experience in the scale-up of processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks for Mintek’s bioleach piloting testwork.
- Maintain pilot equipment and reactor components.
- Assist with routine tasks on pilot-scale commercial and research projects.
- Operate and maintain Mintek’s off-site demonstration plants (when required).
- Conduct sampling and analysis of laboratory and plant samples.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: BEng or BScEng in Chemical Engineering.
- Academic Performance: A minimum average of 60% in academic studies.
- Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Computer literacy
