Who Should Apply?
To qualify, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Pulp & Paper Technology
- 60% average pass rate in your qualification
- Completed P1 and P2 practical work experience in a heavy industry is an advantage
- Valid South African driver’s licence
What You’ll Do
During the programme, you’ll receive both theoretical and practical training, including:
- Performing basic production tasks like housekeeping, equipment checks, and assisting with start-ups or shutdowns
- Conducting routine inspections to prevent breakdowns
- Using SAP/Microsoft tools for tracking and reporting
- Learning about chemical safety and operational procedures
- Supporting troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives
