Nestlé is seeking a Millwright Apprentice to join their team in East London. This is a 4-year fixed-term apprenticeship contract designed for individuals looking to develop their skills in the mechanical and electrical fields.

Duties
As a Millwright Apprentice, you will be responsible for:
- Assembling, installing, and dismantling machinery and equipment.
- Operating machinery to understand its operation and functionality.
- Repairing, maintaining, and lubricating machinery in accordance with hygienic engineering principles and planned maintenance methodologies.
- Conducting preventative maintenance on all electrical, instrumental, and mechanical equipment.
- Attending training sessions to complete logbook modules as part of the apprenticeship program.
- Participating in energy and water-saving projects.
- Engaging in innovative and reliability projects to improve machine efficiencies.
- Collaborating with production and engineering workgroups.
- Adhering to good housekeeping practices and 5S standards.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of Mechanical Engineering N2 or Electrical Engineering N2, or equivalent qualifications.
- Matric or National Senior Certificate with Mathematics and Science.
- One year of experience in a technical environment is advantageous.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A self-starter who can prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
- A team player who is keen on self-development with a strong focus on achieving results.
