Senior Human Resource Officer

Minimum Requirements
- Senior Certificate, plus a Diploma in Human Resource Management or related areas qualification at NQF 6 as recognised by SAQA.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR environment.
- Relevant PERSAL Certificates.
- Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
- Public Service Regulation 2016, as amended, and the Public Finance Management Act.
- Computer literacy, planning, and organization.
- Good communication (verbal and written).
- Teamwork, flexibility, and responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and undertake the more complex implementation and maintenance of human resource administration practices: HR Provisioning (Recruitment and Selection, appointments, transfer, verification of qualifications, secretariat functions at interviews, absorptions, probationary periods etc.) Implement conditions of service and service benefits (Leave, Housing, Medical, Injury on Duty, Long Service Recognition, overtime, relocation, Pension, allowances etc.) Termination of service.
- Recommend (approve) transactions on PERSAL according to delegations.
- Performance Management.
- Prepare reports on human resource administration issues and statistics.
- Handle human resource administration enquiries.
- Allocate and ensure quality of work.
- Personnel development.
