Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.
- Valid Trade Certificate: Millwright (essential).
- Code B driver’s license.
- Clear criminal record.
- Must have ability to use Microsoft packages including Teams, word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook.
- Ability to use PRAGMA maintenance program
- Ability to weld with both stick and CO2 welding
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Willing to work nightshifts.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Knowledge in maintenance repair of conveyor, bucket elevators and chain conveyors.
- Knowledge on bearing installation and selection.
- knowledge on electrical cable termination
- Ability to use lifting equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Committed to continuous improvement and quality outcomes.
- Strong mechanical and electrical experience (both fields essential).
- Must have at least 10 years' experience in maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Would be beneficial if you have experience in agricultural environment.
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair, and commission electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems at the plant.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule, ensuring machinery operates optimally.
- Conduct fault-finding and problem-solving on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Report breakdowns and machine failures to management; accurately complete job cards and daily log sheets.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement on equipment and installations.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure quality of service and products.
- Mentor team members to follow standard processes and practices, ensuring efficiency and reduced downtime.
- Comply with VKB’s Occupational Health and Safety standards.
- Complete all compulsory training interventions.
