Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
  • N2 Mechanical Engineering certificate would be advantageous
  • Lubrication certification/training advantageous
  • In-house training in lubrication and maintenance work of oil sampling and identifying lubricants.
  • 2 years’ Requirements or operational needs, and collecting oil and lubricant samples for analysis to support equipment reliability, condition monitoring, and preventative maintenance initiatives. Experience on lubrication & Mechanical equipment maintenance in processing Plant on mining industry or similar environment
  • Driver’s License.
  • EMS, QMS, On key and other System skills.
  • 2 years’ Requirements or operational needs, and collecting oil and lubricant samples for analysis to support equipment reliability, condition monitoring, and preventative maintenance initiatives.

  • Execution of Maintenance
  • Inspect lubrication systems for proper operation.
  • Lubricate plant equipment by adhering to lubrication schedules.
  • Ensure correct lubricant grades and quantities are used.
  • Monitor oil levels, temperatures, leaks, and contamination.
  • Perform planned and un-planned maintenance activities in a timeous and cost effective manner to the correct standard.
  • Provide feedback to the Fitter/Foreman on the execution of work for Continuous Improvement.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Assist with other maintenance activities as requested.
  • Communication and Reporting
  • Participate meaningfully in the departmental INVOCOMs. Achieve engineering Key Performance Indicators. Provide input into interdepartmental INVOCOMs. Report factors, incidents and accidents that pose a business risk.
