Polokwane Municipality invites South African students residing within the Polokwane Municipal area to apply for bursaries for the 2025 academic year. These bursaries are open to students pursuing their first Degree or National Diploma in any field at a recognized South African institution.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen residing permanently in Polokwane Municipality, Limpopo.
- Be currently in Matric or have completed Matric.
- Be studying or planning to study toward their first Degree or National Diploma in 2025.
- Be enrolled at a public University, University of Technology, or TVET College.
- Be from a disadvantaged background.
- Not be in receipt of any other bursary funding.
- Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply if they meet the above criteria.
Application Process
- Download and Complete: Obtain the Polokwane Municipality Bursary Application Form 2025.
- Forms are also available for collection at any cluster office, Civic Centre office 901/908.
- Submit Required Documents: Attach clear copies of the following with your completed form:
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric certificate or final results (certified copy)
- Proof of acceptance/provisional admission from a tertiary institution (on institution’s letterhead)
- ID documents or death certificates of parents/guardians (certified copies)
- Proof of parents’/guardians’ income (recent payslips, employer letter, affidavit if unemployed, financial statements if self-employed, or proof of government grant if applicable)
- Proof of residence (municipal utility bill, bank statement, or letter from authorized traditional leader)
