The Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa (SEIFSA) is offering bursaries for students pursuing careers in the Steel and Engineering sector.
This financial assistance aims to support qualified full-time students registered for approved undergraduate engineering programs at South African universities or students studying towards a National Diploma in Engineering at universities of technology.

Fields of Study
The SEIFSA bursary covers the following fields:
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Materials Science
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Other related engineering courses
Bursary Coverage
The SEIFSA bursary will cover the cost of tuition fees only. Students will be responsible for all other study-related costs, such as accommodation, meals, stationery, and study materials.
Bursary Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Aged 35 years or younger.
- Achieve good academic results in Mathematics and Science with a minimum average of 70% in Grade 12 / Matric.
- Must be studying or have provisional acceptance into an undergraduate course at a South African university or university of technology.
- Must be enrolled in one of the specified engineering courses or related fields.
Note: Preference will be given to employees of SEIFSA member companies and their dependents.

Important Notes
