The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) invites applications for its 2025 Graduate Training Program, designed to offer hands-on work experience to recent graduates in various fields including administration, business management, project coordination, and finance.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an intern at CETA, you’ll support key administrative and strategic tasks across departments. Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling unit correspondence and maintaining digital and physical records
- Assisting with audit preparation and compliance tasks
- Providing administrative support for budgeting and quarterly reporting
- Preparing meeting agendas, taking minutes, and drafting basic reports
- Rotating through various departments to gain exposure to different core business functions
- Contributing to team presentations at least once per quarter
- Supporting regulatory and compliance activities aligned with PFMA, SDA, and BBBEE standards
You’ll be formally assessed at the end of each quarter to track your development and exposure to departmental functions.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:
- South African citizen under the age of 35
- Hold a post-matric qualification (National Diploma or Degree) in one of the fields listed below
- Have no prior participation in any SETA-sponsored internship or previous formal employment
- Submit a detailed CV, motivation letter, certified ID, and certified qualifications
Qualifications Considered
You may apply if you have a qualification in any of the following fields:
- ND Business Management / Project Management
- ND / BTech / Degree in Accounting / Office Administration / Public Administration / Business Administration
- ND in Management Assistant or equivalent administrative qualification
Core Competencies You’ll Develop
During your internship, you’ll gain:
- An in-depth understanding of the SETA environment, its mandate and public service operations
- Familiarity with legislation like the Skills Development Act, PFMA, Tax laws, BBBEE, and Employment Equity Act
- Practical exposure to policy implementation and project monitoring
- Professional communication, compliance reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills

Build Practical Admin Skills

- Volunteer in administrative roles at local NGOs or community centres
- Get certified in Basic Project Management through online platforms like Coursera or Udemy
