The Rand Refinery Social Economic Development Tutoring Program is looking for unemployed graduates to assist with academic support at selected schools around Ekurhuleni.
This is a great opportunity to sharpen your teaching, leadership, and communication skills while contributing to learner performance in high-demand subjects.

Location: Ekurhuleni, Gauteng
Duration: April to June 2025 (Weekends Only)
Stipend: Yes (paid to selected tutors)
Who Should Apply?
We are seeking passionate individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Unemployed South African graduates
- Completed at least third-year Mathematics and/or Physics
- Studying toward or completed a qualification in Maths, Physical Science, or related fields
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience (advantageous)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Available every Friday afternoon and Saturday from April to June 2025
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a tutor in this program, you will:
- Provide subject-specific tutoring to Grade 12 learners
- Focus on past paper revisions, exam preparation, and problem-solving techniques
- Help improve learner performance in Mathematics and Physical Science
- Be present for sessions every Friday afternoon and Saturday morning for the entire programme duration
- Offer mentorship, academic motivation, and a structured study approach
