The WAAW (Working to Advance African Women) Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2024 Scholarship Programme, aimed at supporting young African women pursuing STEM-related degrees for the 2025 academic year.
Scholarship Benefits:
- A one-time award of $500 to assist with academic expenses.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the WAAW Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a female student of African origin, living and studying in Africa.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
- Studying a STEM-related course (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) at an African university or college.
- Must be in the first or second year of study (or third year for students enrolled in five-year programs).
- Able to demonstrate financial need.
- Maintain an excellent academic record.
- Possess leadership experience and have participated in volunteering or community service.
- Must be under the age of 32.
