Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2025

Location: Pretoria (Scientia Campus) – Hybrid

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), in partnership with MerSETA, invites South African students enrolled at Universities of Technology to apply for its 12-month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme.

This opportunity is for students who require practical training to complete their National Diploma qualifications. Successful applicants will receive hands-on experience under the guidance of seasoned professionals in the science, engineering, and technology (SET) fields.

Who Can Apply

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be registered full-time at a University of Technology
  • Have passed all academic subjects and be left only with practical training to complete their National Diploma
  • Be studying in one of the approved fields listed below
