Rustenburg Municipality Bursary Programme 2025

The Rustenburg Municipality is offering bursaries to previously disadvantaged youth and those living with disabilities who reside in the Rustenburg Local Municipal area. These bursaries will cover all fields of study for the 2025 academic year.

Closing Date: 31 October 2024

Eligibility Requirements:

To apply for the bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen
• Reside within the Rustenburg Local Municipal area (North West province, any of the 45 wards)
• Currently be in Matric or have completed Matric
• Be studying or planning to study full-time in 2025
• Be accepted or provisionally accepted to study at a recognised tertiary institution in South Africa
• Preference will be given to students with excellent academic performance
• Be previously disadvantaged or living with a disability

How to Apply:

Application forms can be collected from 1 October 2024 at the following locations:

• Rustenburg Municipality: Missionary Mpheni House Building, Ground Floor, Room 8, Special Projects, Rustenburg 2999
• Ward Councillors

Required Supporting Documents:

Along with your completed application form, submit certified copies of the following:

• South African ID document
• Matric certificate or latest academic results
• Proof of admission or provisional acceptance from a tertiary institution (on official letterhead)
• Proforma/Invoice from the tertiary institution (including costs for tuition, books, and accommodation) with a valid Tax Clearance Certificate
• Parents or guardians’ ID documents
• Parents or guardians’ proof of income (latest payslips, affidavit if unemployed, or pension slip for indigent applicants)
• Proof of residence
