About the Training Contract
PwC offers a structured 3-year training programme aligned with SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) standards. You’ll be working within PwC’s Assurance Practice, gaining both technical and soft skills required to become a trusted accounting professional.
You’ll be trained and exposed to tasks such as:
- Capturing transactions and processing journals
- Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Bookkeeping to balance sheet
- Preparing financial statements
- Completing income tax and VAT returns
- Applying PwC’s methodologies in real business scenarios
- Supporting managers on client accounts and admin
Minimum Requirements
To apply, you must:
- Have completed or be in the final year of a financial accounting degree (must meet SAIPA requirements)
- Intend to qualify as a Professional Accountant (SA)
- Be fluent in English (Afrikaans an advantage)
- Be computer literate and familiar with Pastel, Excel, and Word
- Be legally eligible to work in South Africa
