Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Accounting
- Qualification in Cost & Management Accounting (Diploma/Degree)
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and cost systems
- Ability to analyse financial and sales data and produce meaningful reports
- Understanding of pricing, costing models, and profitability analysis
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes (PO, GRN, accruals)
- Awareness of food industry trends and market dynamics
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams
- Maintain and analyse cost data for financial reporting and decision-making
- Prepare cost sheets and determine product pricing and profitability
- Support New Product Development (NPD) with product costing
- Compare actual vs standard manufacturing costs and report variances
- Monitor and evaluate production performance and cost efficiency
- Analyse cost drivers such as raw materials, labour, and production methods
- Prepare regular reports on financial performance and cost trends
- Maintain and manage the cost accounting system
- Assist with month-end processes, stock control and inventory counts
- Maintain the cost accounting system and ensure data accuracy
