Principal Engineering Assistant ( Civil, Mechanical and Electrical)

Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Civil /Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
- 5 Years Experience in QA/QC or construction supervision and monitoring
- Knowledge of South African engineering standards and regulations (e.g. SANS, API)
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and quality management systems
- Project Management ( Advantage)
- Registration with ECSA ( Advantage)
- 1. Project Support
- Compile and maintain project documentation Specification
- Support site inspections and ensure compliance with approved designs
- 2. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with QA/QC standards and procedures
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of ITPs (Inspection Test Plans)
- Review contractor submissions (method statements, drawings, material approvals)
- Participate in inspections, audits, and FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests)
- 3. Technical Administration
- Maintain engineering records, registers, and filing systems
- Prepare technical reports and progress updates
- Coordinate communication between internal teams and contractors
- Assist in procurement processes (technical specifications, evaluations)
- 4. Site & Field Support
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction and installation activities
- Verify work completed against specifications and drawings
- Report non-conformances and assist in corrective actions
- Support health and safety compliance on-site
- 5. Data Management & Reporting
- Capture and analyse project and QA data
- Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports (e.g Monthly Report and OPSCO reports)
- Maintain dashboards and performance scorecards per contractor/projec
