Minimum Requirements
- Appropriate working experience in a hospital environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Required to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Ability to perform tasks such as lifting patient’s from/onto beds, trolleys and wheelchairs. Willingness to work in a team. Must be of sober habits.
Responsibilities
- Ensure and effective porter service to clients and management by safe transporting of patients on trolleys and wheelchairs, within various areas in the hospital, assist with the removal of bodies from wards.
- Collecting and delivering of blood specimens, blood hampers and patient folders.
- Maintenance of equipment by ensuring all equipment are taken care of, ensure a safe and hygienic work environment as well as collecting and cleaning of equipment.
- Maintain sound interpersonal Relations by promoting a conductive working environment.
- Adhere to dress code and code of conduct.
