Minimum Requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Provide optimal, holistic specialized psychiatric nursing care within set standards and professional/legal framework.
- Effective utilization of human, financial and physical resources(equipment and consumables).
- Participation in appropriate personal /professional development activities: Self, students, other categories of staff.
- Ensure efficient and accurate documentation, statistical data collection capturing and participation in research activities.
- Assist with the development and the implementation of nursing quality improvement plans, policies and standard operating procedures.
- Grade1: A Minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
- Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years appropriate/ recognisable nursing experience after registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
- At least 10 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognizable experience after obtaining the one-year post-basic qualification (R212) or a post graduate diploma (R635) in the relevant specialty.
- Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, after-hours, night duty and weekend cover for nursing. Willingness to assist across the various components of the facility based on operational requirements.
