Minimum Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in financial management and supply chain management policy development; A minimum of 1 year of related supply chain management experience.
- Knowledge of the following: Public Sector policies and regulations (Public Financial Management Act (Act of 1999) Public Service Act (Act 103 of 1994), Prescripts, policies and procedures governing financial and Supply Chain Management
- National Treasury Regulations (NTR), National and Provincial Treasury`s Supply Chain Management Instructions, Note, Circulars, Supply Chain Management Policies, legislations, Acts
- Public sector procurement processes, rules and regulations
- Framework governing the Supply Chain Management and Public Sector
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines, work in a team and preparedness to work overtime when required
- Skills needed: Written and verbal communication
- Planning and organisational
- Management and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Compilation of moveable asset management notes for interim financial statements (IFS) and annual financial statements (AFS) in terms of the modified cash standards, generally recognised accounting practice (GRAP)
- Supervise and render fleet management administration and auxiliary support services to the Department
- Provide an effective and efficient asset management system and asset register.
- Processing of requisitions for the placing of orders; management and supervision of human resource staff.
- Maintain and ensure an effective consumable management service for the department.
