Minimum Requirements
- B Eng. / BTech Civil or BSc Civils or Quantity Surveyor at NQF7 with 360 credits
- Relevant management qualification (e.g., Management Development Programme).
- 7 years’ management experience in Power Generation, Transmission or Distribution
- Construction; or a comparable operational environment
- Knowledge of Legal, Policy and Procedure, IFRS
- Knowledge of Construction Regulation
- SHEQ & compliance: working knowledge of OHS Act requirements, legal appointment obligations, and management system compliance (ISO/OHS).

- Commercial & financial: budgeting, cost control, margin management, cash flow awareness, client relationship management.
- Project/portfolio delivery: oversight of scope, schedule, cost and risk; escalation and intervention; reporting cadence.
- SHEQ & compliance: working knowledge of OHS Act requirements, legal appointment obligations, and management system compliance (ISO/OHS).
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Civils portfolio, ensuring alignment to Construction Services objectives.
- Accountable for overall Civils project delivery performance across scope, schedule, cost, quality and client satisfaction.
- Ensure profitability, growth and effective cost management for the Civils portfolio, including budget, CAPEX and cash flow management.
- Implement and maintain Civils project management best practice in collaboration with the Project Management Office.
- Maintain active oversight of project execution; intervene and escalate where required to ensure smooth running of projects.
- Build and maintain key client relationships (including relevant Eskom stakeholders) to enable delivery and secure future work.
- Drive SHEQ leadership and compliance across all Civils projects, including ensuring valid legal appointments and adherence to ISO/OHS requirements.
- Lead and manage Civils resources (planning, utilisation, overtime, leave, training and capability development) to meet project needs.
- Manage performance, discipline and industrial relations matters within the Civils area in line with the PD&R process and ERI procedures.
- Ensure accurate weekly and monthly portfolio and project reporting, including performance, risks, issues and corrective actions.
