Head of Procurement (Strategic FMCG Sourcing)

Minimum Requirements
- Strong exposure to the agri-value chain
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, cost optimisation, and supplier management
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (essential)
- Postgraduate qualification or MCIPS (advantageous)
- Advanced Excel (non-negotiable)
- Strong analytical and data interpretation capability
- Exposure to AIB / BRC / FSSC 22000 or similar standards (advantageous)
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
- Able to balance strategic direction with operational execution
- Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement capability
- High levels of independence, ownership, and emotional maturity
- Direct influence on cost, supply, and business performance
- Exposure to strategic decision-making at senior leadership level

- Minimum 10 years’ procurement management experience, within FMCG or food manufacturing

Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy & Value Delivery
- Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy across direct and indirect spend
- Align sourcing strategies to business objectives, market conditions, and risk considerations
- Drive total cost optimisation across the procurement value chain
- Sourcing, Supplier & Contract Management
- Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and long-term partnership development
- Oversee contract management, ensuring commercial value and compliance
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure continuity, quality, and cost efficiency
- Risk Management & Market Intelligence
- Manage procurement risk through contingency planning and supply continuity strategies
- Lead price risk mitigation, including commodity and currency hedging programmes
- Track market trends and proactively adjust sourcing strategies
- Financial Governance & Performance Management
- Manage procurement budgets, forecasting, and cost analysis
- Drive working capital optimisation without compromising service levels
- Deliver clear reporting and insights to support business decision-making
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with commercial, supply chain, finance, IT, and legal teams
- Ensure procurement is fully integrated into the broader business strategy
- Influence stakeholders to drive alignment and results
