State Accountant: Internal Control

Minimum Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/ B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Internal Auditing
- A minimum of 1-year relevant experience
- Knowledge of the following: Legislative framework governing the Public Service
- Departmental accounting services
- Public Service financial legislations, procedures and processes, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), 1999, (DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, Financial Manual)
- Financial functions and practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial statistics. General information support systems such as Oracle and ECM
- State accountant duties and practices, as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics
- Working procedures in terms of the working environment
- Project management
- Public service procedures, processes and systems
- Skills needed: Proven computer literacy
- Written and verbal communication
