St Peter’s Prep is offering a Teaching Internship Programme for young South Africans who want to become teachers. The programme combines a B.Ed degree with hands-on classroom experience and mentorship.
Minimum requirements
- South African citizen
- Matric with Bachelor’s pass
- APS score of at least 28
- Under the age of 27
- Demonstrate financial need
- English HL minimum 60 percent or FAL 70 percent
- Maths Literacy minimum 60 percent or Mathematics 40 percent
- Must be starting or enrolled in B.Ed Foundation Phase
- Experience working with children is an advantage
- Strong time management and organisational skills
Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers in classroom activities
- Gain practical teaching experience daily
- Support learner development and engagement
- Participate in community partnership programmes
- Develop teaching skills and methodologies
- Contribute to classroom planning and preparation
- Support school activities and learning environment
