Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Accounting, or related field
- CA(SA), CIMA, or similar professional certification (advantageous)
- Extensive knowledge of management accounting principles and practices
- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting standards, statutory reporting, audit and regulatory compliance (cross-country advantage)
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Strategic, adaptable and proactive; comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (including neighbouring countries)
- Based in Piet Retief
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans (advantageous)
- Minimum 3-5 years’
- in management and financial accounting (corporate or multi-entity environment advantageous)
- Proficient in SAP, Oracle, AS400 (or other accounting systems) and advanced Excel
- (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros). Power BI knowledge (advantageous)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail; high organisational

Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and complete monthly and annual financial statements and management reports in compliance with accounting standards and per deadlines of group
- Lead/support month-end and year-end close processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, closing entries, adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Compile, review and analyse financial data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and meaningful commentary; conduct variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies
- Work closely with accounting and cross-functional teams to resolve reporting issues and translate financial data into insights and actionable recommendations for leadership
- Maintain, reconcile, and audit general ledger accounts and underlying transactions to ensure integrity of accounting data
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable processes and balances, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely processing
- Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets; develop financial forecasts and projections; contribute to long-range planning and scenario modelling
- Analyse cost structures, monitor key cost-related performance indicators, identify savings opportunities, and implement/evaluate cost control measures
- Liaise with tax authorities and auditors as required
- Design, implement, and test internal controls; ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies; identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and schedules, and following up on audit findings
- Compile comprehensive management reports including financial statements, performance metrics, and variance narratives; maintain and improve reporting templates
- Ability to work across multiple operations and cross countries, including travel to neighbouring countries, to support business objectives; contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function
