Responsibilities
- To provide technical support to Maintenance Managers and Engineers by applying technical skills and making suggestions and implement solution to optimise systems.
- Actively manage statutory compliance/risk assessments
- Manage and reduce active/open MOC’s
- Manage, review and develop equipment maintenance strategies using RCM processes.
- Control PRA/VRA’s and ensure operation readiness
- Support Area Manager with shutdown, scoping, planning and execution.
- Track and develop plans to close all leak seal devices and clamps.
- Ensure that self and team meet targets, due dates and quality standards.
- Independently gather information and data accumulation.
- Apply safety in all practices, specifically project planning and execution.
- Resolve work obstacles and issues positively and quickly.
- Utilise and analyse all possible sources of information and data to make quality decisions.
- Have the ability to deal with uncertainty and still be able to solve problems and make decisions in environment with uncertainty.
- Develop suitable technical proposals based on practical and theoretical knowledge.
- Maintenance trouble shooting and problem solving.
- Knowledge of centrifugal and reciprocating pump maintenance
- Basic knowledge of machinery vibrations and tribology.
- Investigate and implement improvement solutions in order to improve MTBF.
- Conduct fault tree analysis for technically complex piece of equipment
- Support BU reliability initiatives to improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Champion RBI processes to ensure plant is legally compliant.
- Provide effective problem solving and cost-effective technical solutions to address plant issues.
- Project management for up to Tier 4 projects while adhering to safety standards, cost and time constrained environments.
- Participate in HAZOP, PHA and SIL rating representing Mechanical Maintenance department as and when required.
