About the Role
The Store Driver will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of customer orders while ensuring safety, professionalism, and compliance with Dis-Chem’s operational procedures. The ideal candidate should be reliable, organized, and capable of handling products with care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver products to customers efficiently and on time.
- Prioritize fridge-line deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs.
- Ensure correct products are delivered to the correct addresses.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete daily inspection reports.
- Handle cash and product receipts responsibly.
- Use the most efficient routes to minimize travel time and costs.
- Maintain accurate delivery and invoice logs.
- Provide excellent customer service and uphold company reputation.
- Report all incidents, traffic fines, and customer complaints promptly.
- Adhere to traffic and safety regulations at all times.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 essential.
- Valid driver’s licence (Code 8 or higher).
- Reliable own transport.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Physically fit with good eyesight.
- Must be trustworthy, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Previous retail or delivery experience advantageous.
