The Department of Employment and Labour is offering an opportunity for entry-level security professionals to join its Pretoria office as a Security Officer.
This post supports the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) branch and is aimed at promoting employment equity within the public service.
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Salary: R193 359 per annum (permanent government post)
About the Position
This role is part of the department’s broader strategy to secure and manage physical access to its premises. The Security Officer will be responsible for enforcing safety standards, regulating access, and managing security operations in line with government legislation and internal policies.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
- PSIRA Grade C Certificate
- Registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)
- No prior experience required

Knowledge and Skills

Duties and Responsibilities
