Purpose of the Role
The Supply Chain Administrators will provide efficient and effective administrative support for the procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
The ideal candidates will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with supply chain-related legislation and internal Standard Operating Procedures.
- Evaluating purchase requisitions for specific requirements.
- Sourcing providers from the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and processing RFQs.
- Assisting with tender processing.
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
- Monitoring stock levels and initiating reordering when necessary.
- Ensuring correct goods are received in terms of quality and quantity.
- Addressing and resolving supply chain-related issues promptly.
- Ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders, management, staff, and external parties.
- Accurately capturing purchase orders and opening vendor files.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: A 3-year Diploma or equivalent NQF level 6 in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year’s experience in Supply Chain Administration within the public sector is preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with PFMA, inventory management, and SETA’s will be advantageous.

- Collaboration skills
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literacy with solid knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and database management
