Rand Refinery is currently accepting applications for its 2025 academic year capped bursaries aimed at supporting students in various fields of study.

Requirements
To be eligible for the bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen aged between 18 to 25 years.
- Must be in their first, second, or third year of studies at a recognized South African institution of higher learning, including universities and universities of technology.
- Must have achieved an aggregate of 70% to qualify.
Supported Qualification Streams Aligned to STEM
The bursary supports studies in the following fields:
- Biotechnology
- Information Technology
- Biochemistry
- Microbiology
- Environmental Science
Bursary Coverage
The bursary covers tuition fees capped at R50,000.

To apply for the bursary, candidates should visit the Rand Refinery bursaries portal. Along with the online application, applicants must submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation:
- Certified copy of ID document
- Matric certificate
- Most recent tertiary academic results/transcripts (on institution’s letterhead)
- Fee statement (on institution’s letterhead)
- Proof of registration (on institution’s letterhead)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Certified copies of parents’ or guardians’ ID documents
- Proof of parents’ or guardians’ income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, proof of pension or grant if applicable)
