The Sasol Foundation invites South African students to apply for the 2025 Bursary Programme, offering a chance to pursue higher education with financial support. The bursaries cover various fields of study, providing an opportunity for students to achieve their academic and career goals.

Bursary Categories:
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Bursaries: For undergraduate studies in fields such as Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, Data Science, Education (majoring in STEM subjects), Engineering (all disciplines), Financial Science, Health Science, Mathematical Science, Technology, and other related fields.
- Non-STEM Bursaries: For students from Sasol’s fence line communities, children of Sasol Khanyisa shareholders, and children of Sasol employees.
Bursary Benefits
- Expenses Covered: Registration fees, tuition fees, book allowance, accommodation allowance, meal allowance, once-off computer and calculator allowance, and a monthly stipend.
- Additional Support: Recipients will receive psycho-social support, including workshops and access to the Employee Assistance Programme at Sasol.
Application Requirements
STEM Bursary:
- South African citizenship (by birth only)
- Under 25 years old
- Currently in Matric or completed Matric within the past year
- Studying or intending to study full-time in a relevant STEM field at a public University or University of Technology in South Africa
- Specific academic requirements, including minimum levels for Mathematics, Physical Science, and English
- Combined household income of less than R600,000 per annum
Non-STEM Bursary:
- South African citizenship (by birth only)
- Under 25 years old
- From Sasol’s fence line communities, or a child of a Sasol Khanyisa shareholder or employee
- Currently in Matric or completed Matric within the past year
- Studying or intending to study full-time towards an undergraduate degree in any field at a public University or University of Technology in South Africa
- Minimum average of 60% for all modules
- Combined household income of less than R600,000 per annum

- Activate your account via the email sent to you.
- Create a password and log in.
- Complete the “South African Bursary Application” under “Undergraduate Applications.”
- Submit all required information and accept the disclaimer.
Returning Users:
- Log in with your email and password to continue your application.
- If you forgot your password, use the “Forgot Password” feature to reset it.
Important Notes:
- Only online applications via the Sasol Bursary website will be accepted.
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
