AFGRI is offering a three-year Apprenticeship Training Program for dynamic, self-motivated individuals aiming to become qualified Tractor or Earthmoving Mechanics. The program provides practical in-service training and academic development at various branches across South Africa.

Program Overview:
- Duration: 3 years, with a 6-month probation period
- Qualification: Tractor or Earthmoving Mechanic
- Training: Practical training, distance learning, and product-specific training at the John Deere Training Facility and other internal programs
- Contract: Apprentices are bound by a contract with AFGRI, with penalties for early withdrawal or failure to complete the program within 4 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Train as a Mechanic/Technician
- Repair and maintain equipment
- Handle stock control
- Provide customer service
- Perform general workplace tasks
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Communication, Admin, and Computer Skills
- N2 Subjects:
- Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Diesel Trade Theory
- One additional subject (e.g., Industrial Electronics, Engineering/Technical Drawing, or Motor Trade Theory)
- Alternatively, a Matric Certificate with relevant subjects (e.g., Mathematics, Technical Mathematics, Physical Science, or Engineering Graphics and Design)
