Sibanye-Stillwater is offering a Mining Learnership opportunity for individuals interested in becoming future mining leaders.
This is a structured development programme that gives you the chance to gain hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in underground mining.
Location: Marikana, North West
Closing Date: 15 April 2025
Positions Available: 6
Type: 12-month Temporary Training Contract
Minimum Requirements
To apply, you must have:
- Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and English
- Medically fit to work underground
- Clear criminal record
- Valid Driver’s License (if applicable)
Advantageous:
- Any experience in a mining or similar technical environment
What You’ll Learn and Do
- Complete all training modules and tasks within the required time
- Follow safety procedures and use protective gear at all times
- Attend all required SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) meetings
- Identify and report safety risks
- Maintain proper communication with mentors and team members
- Submit progress reports and updates on your training

- You may be required to do psychometric testing and interviews during selection.
