Sibanye-Stillwater is offering a Mining Learnership opportunity for individuals interested in becoming future mining leaders.

This is a structured development programme that gives you the chance to gain hands-on training and theoretical knowledge in underground mining.

Location: Marikana, North West
Closing Date: 15 April 2025
Positions Available: 6
Type: 12-month Temporary Training Contract

Minimum Requirements

To apply, you must have:

Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and English
Medically fit to work underground
Clear criminal record
Valid Driver’s License (if applicable)

Advantageous:

Any experience in a mining or similar technical environment

What You’ll Learn and Do

Complete all training modules and tasks within the required time
Follow safety procedures and use protective gear at all times
Attend all required SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) meetings
Identify and report safety risks
Maintain proper communication with mentors and team members
Submit progress reports and updates on your training

Important Notes

You may be required to do psychometric testing and interviews during selection.
