Programme Overview
The GMT programme is a global initiative that has recruited over 2,300 graduates worldwide, many of whom have gone on to hold key leadership roles within the company. The programme aims to nurture top talent, enabling participants to contribute meaningfully to SAB’s goal of creating a future with more cheers.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participants will experience 3-4 month rotations across different business units, with each experience aligned to SAB’s three strategic pillars.
- Marketing, Sales, Technology, Supply, and Logistics are key focus areas.
- Each rotation will involve working on real business challenges within the respective function.
- The programme kicks off with the Cheers! Festival (Global Induction), where GMTs will hear directly from senior leaders and network with peers globally.
- GMTs will also have access to the global alumni database, providing an opportunity to connect with past GMTs for career guidance and insights.
- Mobility within the zone is expected as part of the programme’s unique learning experience.
- Participants will be provided formal mentoring and access to learning and development curricula.
- Upon completion of the programme, GMTs will be placed in front-line positions.
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for this programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must have completed an undergraduate degree by the start of the programme. STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) are preferred.
- No more than 3 years of full-time formal working experience (internships, vacation work, short contracts, and co-op experiences are excluded).
- Must have legal work authorization (full citizenship) in South Africa.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Must have full mobility and be open to relocation to various locations as needed.
Advantageous Qualifications:
- Candidates studying towards Post Graduate Diplomas (PGDip) in Business Administration, Masters degrees, or equivalent qualifications will have an advantage.
