IkamvaYouth invites unemployed South African youth to apply for their Learnership/Internship Programme. This initiative aims to empower learners from under-resourced communities, providing them with academic support and career guidance to achieve dignified living and sustainable livelihoods.
Stipend: R3,840.96 Per Month

Purpose of the Programme
The IkamvaYouth Internship Programme offers practical work experience at one or more of IkamvaYouth’s branches. Interns will gain insights into the organization’s mandate and programs while receiving relevant accredited and non-accredited courses to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Branch Placements
Internships are available at the following branches:
- Western Cape: Nyanga, Gugulethu, Makhaza, Kuyasa, Masiphumelele, and Atlantis
- Gauteng: Mamelodi, Diepsloot, Ebony Park, Ivory Park
- Northwest: Ikageng and Mahikeng
- KwaZulu-Natal: Umlazi and Centerville
- Eastern Cape: Joza Branch
Who Can Apply?
- Unemployed IkamvaYouth alumni and volunteers who have completed Grade 12, a diploma, degree, etc.
- Previous interns are welcome to reapply.
- Candidates must be aged between 18 and 34 years.
- Must not be currently in full-time studies and should be able to attend the internship full-time.
- Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Languages: Excellent command of both written and spoken English, along with a working knowledge of at least one other South African language.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and Google Email/Drive.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team and collaborative environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
